This artwork is inspired by an old childhood game, Diablo. This specific character is a barbarian of my own design and imagination.
Base mesh is from Metahuman which is then brought into Blender for sculpting, retopo and uv. Reasons why I did not just use the base mesh straight up because I did not particularly like the faces metahuman provided and the body shape is kinda generic and does not have muscular details like abs and what not. So because of that, I had to also retopo and re-uv the highpoly base mesh. That also meant that I had to retexture the skin which is fine because it gave me the opportunity to practice creating my own believable skin. So, texturing was done mainly with Substance Painter. The whole process took me maybe in 2 to 3 weeks, I am not really sure, I lost count. But, it was done in whatever spare time that I had. In the end, the final polycount ended up with around 125K tris and texture maps with 2K - 4K resolutions to maintain 16px/cm to 24 px/cm texel density. Everything is rendered in Blender using Cycles with Nvidia Optix. Hope you like it.
Sorry for the blurry texture, I had to export low version because I do not have a PRO account.
